Hi, I am Toni Renā


I am a young, passionate photographer who's been able to see the beauty in everything since day one. My curiosity and creativity began when I got my very first camera, a Nintendo DSi. I took a photo that was so simple yet so perfect: the sun rays through my toes in my bedroom window. Four-year-old me didn't understand, but from that moment on, my dad told me I had an eye.


I took two years of a commercial photography class through a vocational school in Dayton, Ohio, called Miami Valley Career Technology Center. We were taught everything from studio work to photojournalism. Each year I attended, we took a field trip to the Woodland Cemetery, where we entered a contest, and I won first place in the Nature Prevails category. Another thing MVCTC provided was access to become a SkillsUSA member. We had the opportunity to compete in a series of competitions up to nationals. I placed gold in every contest except nationals, where I placed 4th. Going against the best of every state, 4th isn't bad. I am now with an amazing team who's done nothing but support me and lead me right in the direction. I can't thank them enough and I can't wait to see what the future holds.

Local


This is was my first place local winning photo for SkillsUSA. The theme was Selective Focus.

Taken at MVCTC in Clayton, Ohio. This was behind the south building next to a buckeye tree, this no longer exist anymore. They tore the whole building down.

Regional


This is was my first place regional winning photo for SkillsUSA. The theme was Artist Choice.

This was taken at Butler Tech High school in Hamilton, Ohio. This was during Wildwood's practice session of Brielle singing Spooky by Classics IV.

State


This is was my first place state winning photo for SkillsUSA. The theme was Texture.

Taken in Columbus, Ohio at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. What you're seeing is balloons from an anniversary they were having at the same time as our contest.

National


This is was my fourth place national winning photo for SkillsUSA. The theme was Perspective of a Balanced Life.
